📍 Day 1: Vladimir
Focus: Medieval Russia & ancient architecture

📍 Day 2: Suzdal
Focus: Old Russia & countryside
👉 Visit the Suzdal Kremlin, the historic heart of the town, with its beautiful Nativity Cathedral.
👉 Explore the Spaso-Evfimiev Monastery, a massive fortified monastery and one of Suzdal’s most impressive architectural ensembles.
👉 Walk along the Kamenka River and through the old town.
👉 Visit the Museum of Wooden Architecture to see traditional Russian houses, churches, and windmills,

- Suzdal does not have a railway station, so the easiest way to reach it from Vladimir is by bus, taxi, or private transfer.
- Comfortable shoes are essential — walking is the best way to experience Suzdal.
📍 Day 3: Yaroslavl
Focus: Russian culture & the Volga River
👉 Walk through the historic center and along the Volga River embankment.
👉 Visit the Monastery of the Transfiguration of the Savior, a medieval fortified monastery with some of the city's oldest surviving buildings.
👉 See the beautiful Church of Elijah the Prophet, famous for its colorful frescoes and distinctive green domes.

- The journey from Suzdal to Yaroslavl takes several hours, so start your day early.
- Yaroslavl's historic center is compact enough to explore largely on foot.
📍 Day 4: Sergiev Posad
Focus: Russian Orthodoxy & the spiritual heart of Russia
👉 Explore the Trinity Lavra of St. Sergius, Russia’s most important Orthodox monastery and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
👉 See the Trinity Cathedral and its famous religious art.
👉 For one of the best panoramic views, walk up to Blinnaya Hill overlooking the Lavra.

- Dress respectfully when visiting the monastery. Clothing covering shoulders and knees is recommended. Women will be asked to cover their heads.
- Allow at least 2–3 hours for the Lavra.
📍 Day 5: Sergiev Posad → Moscow
Focus: A relaxed return to Moscow
👉 Take a final walk around the town and pick up traditional Russian souvenirs, such as handmade crafts, painted items, or local sweets.
👉 Return to Moscow by train or private transfer.

- Sergiev Posad is close enough to Moscow to make the final return trip easy. It will take 60-90 minutes to get to Moscow by train.

💡 Practical Tips

- Don't try to see everything. The Golden Ring is about atmosphere as much as individual monuments.
