I travel individually. Do I still need an invitation from a travel company?
Yes. It's a Russian visa formality. Even if you travel individually, you need to get an invitation from an authorized travel company.
Do I need to book flights and accommodation for my visa?
Usually booking flights and accommodation is not required for the visa application.
Is travel insurance mandatory?
Travel insurance with the coverage of no less than 30,000 EUR is mandatory for citizens of the Schengen area as well as for citizens of China, Israel, Iran and Japan. It is highly recommended to get a travel insurance policy even if it is not mandatory in your case.
Can I visit multiple cities with a tourist visa?
You need to specify your intended itinerary in the visa application form. But you are free to visit any other cities upon arrival.
What if my travel dates change?
You can travel to Russia any time within your visa validity period. If your travel dates change beyond this period, you may need to get a new visa.
Can I extend my visa?
